Keep the Kids Entertained in Melbourne these School Holidays

As the summer school holidays stretch out in front of us, many parents are pondering the same conundrum: ‘how will we keep the kids occupied?’ Fear not Melburnians, for we’ve got your back. Allow us to present a foolproof list of holiday activities which will keep everyone happy until the first school bell tolls in 2017.

We’re calling it early but we’re pretty sure Paw Patrol Live will be the biggest and best concert of 2017 - Paws down. Join Chase, Marshall and the rest of the gang on 8 & 9 April at Margaret Court Arena for a high-energy musical adventure, sure to get everyone's tails wagging.

For action packed outdoorsy days, make tracks to the Enchanted Adventure Garden in Arthur’s Seat. There are mazes, giant brain teasers, tube slides, obstacle courses and the famous tree surfing circuit. There’s also an excellent lolly shop if you need refuelling on the way out.

Speaking of fuel, the Food Truck Carnival Tour will be making its way around the state this summer, bringing affordable gastronomic glory to hungry bellies everywhere. There’s also live music and roving entertainment so pack the picnic blanket and make the most of it. If you time it right, you might be able to manage both lunch and dinner, ensuring you get to sample the maximum amount of available goodies.

After you've enjoyed a few food truck treats, go on an immersive, interactive journey through the human digestive system at Artplay's Gut Feeling exhibition. Follow the food cycle through a massive inflatable human digestive tract, learning from the inside out! Tickets are $16 and you can book online.

For wet weather entertainment, rally the troops and take them to the indoor climbing paradise that is Clip ‘n Climb. There are 37 climbing challenges to conquer, including a speed wall where you can race each other. The prize? Bragging rights for the summer.
